The selectee for this position will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in ROICC Darwin, Australia of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND (NAVFAC).

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Performing the full range of pre and post award contractual actions required in the procurement of services, construction, architect/engineering services, or facility support services, utilizing sealed bid, negotiation, and small purchase negotiation procedures; 2) Interpreting and ensuring that contract actions are in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures; 3) Reviewing procurement requests to assure clarity, adequacy, and completeness; 4) Serving as contractual authority on the acceptability and applicability of contractual matters on contract actions, and provides advice, training, guidance, and interpretation to the team on procurement regulations, policies, and procedures; and 5) Advising on and conducting the procurement process from solicitation to award and through all post award phases of contracting, including modifications, processing payments, final invoicing, final evaluation, and closeout.
