You will serve as a Director, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Engineering Criteria and Program Office in the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Job Description
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. Do you meet this requirement? Note - if you respond "YES", you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. The registration must show the date of currency or additional documentation must be provided from the registration agency showing the dates the registration is current for. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to the Basic Requirements and SPF for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of facilities engineering, facilities design and construction development, systems engineering and building materials, methods, systems, and equipment for planning and/or design criteria development or implementation associated with shore infrastructure facilities; 2) Developing architectural and/or engineering design documents which incorporate industry standard criteria to address mission/operational requirements; 3) Serving as a subject matter expert in design and construction criteria, applying new theories and developments to meet client requirements, incorporate efficiencies, and to solve problems; 4) Preparing and presenting oral and written briefs, presentations and training to multiple audiences on facilities design and construction criteria-related topics; and 5) Directly supervising professional engineers and architects who are the NAVFAC technical experts and program managers of Aviation Facilities, Waterfront Facilities, Facility Energy, Anti-Terrorism and Security Engineering, Design Build, Sustainable Development, and Defense Standardization programs.
