Job Summary
You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE, Saint Mawgan, United Kingdom. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Conducting surveys and/or investigations to identify and resolve problems;2) Directing the full range (i.e. planning, design, development, construction, repair, alteration, and inspection) of Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) or similar systems operations and communications systems;3) Providing technical support to personnel utilizing the IUSS or similar systems;4) Monitoring and/or inspecting on-site operations, equipment failures, and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to regulations.
