Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER in the in the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) Directorate, Design Division (PDC4), Fire Protection Engineering Branch (PDC46) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.
Job Description
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE). Your registration must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must include a copy of your license (NOT A WALL CERTIFICATE) with your application. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying the standards of fire protection engineering that govern the identification, execution and delivery of products/services associated with capital improvement facilities; 2) Reviewing, assessing, or resolving design and construction issues related to fire protection; 3) Assisting to coordinate the work of others for project assignments; and 4) Providing consultative services on fire protection engineering matters related to construction projects.
