Job Summary
You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting fire prevention instructions, regulations and procedures to manage all phases of the department's fire prevention program; 2) Developing public fire and life safety training programs; and 3) Conducting inspections. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Employee is encouraged to participate in a physical fitness program. The employee is required to work a 60-hour week, 9 hours each weekday with one overnight 24-hour shift. Subject to mandatory overtime and recall. This position requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. Employee is required to possess certification by the DoD Firefighter Certification System as Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I & II and Hazmat Awareness. Incumbent must obtain and maintain valid United States and Government vehicle operator's licenses and current EVOC certification.
