In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST performing the following duties: 1) Conducting operations research using innovative analytical approaches and applies techniques in a creative manner to solve very difficult problems, enhance performance, or increase efficiency and effectiveness; 2) Providing critical cost and estimating support to acquisition milestone decisions, and other management or oversight reviews through the application of independent studies, analysis of alternatives, economic analysis, cost as an independent variable analysis, and business case analysis; 3) Applying operations research techniques to translate the data into management information for decision making; and 4) Predicting and analyzing end results pertaining to future demand forecasts or explaining past events while recommending best alternatives, relevant tradeoffs and limitations, review, model and analyze data from multiple datasets.
