You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Regional Fuels Department of NAVSUP FLC SIG, located in Naples, Italy.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying petroleum engineering principles to retail, bulk and aviation fueling systems to include storage tanks, associated facility construction and maintenance to incorporate innovations made in the field. 2) Analyzing issues that occur with petroleum products to recommend facility planning, design improvements, and increase performance and efficiency. 3) Implementing mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering principles to determine if existing facilities are in compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations. 4) Using Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), Automated Leak Detection and Reporting, Automatic Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE) and Electronic Point of Sales (EPoS) (i.e. VILKEY, DoD Fleet Cards and Air cards) to operate and maintain fuel distribution systems to receive, transfer and issue bulk aviation and ground fuels.
