Job Summary

You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division of NAVFAC NORTHWESTin Bremerton, WA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Job Description

For the GS-10 Position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting professionals with design, layout, and execution processes for construction operations and projects; 2) Evaluating and assuring compliance of quality control plans for construction projects; 3) Making recommendations to resolve problems encountered during construction operations; 4) Interpreting construction guidance and specifications for the purpose of monitoring contract compliance. **NOTE: This experience must be fully supported by your resume. ** For the GS-9 Position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
