Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 level in the Federal service: Assisting in planning or executing technical engineering tasks such as facility system updates, modification projects, or infrastructure support activities; Using engineering software, diagnostic tools, drafting applications, or instrumentation to support technical analyses or system documentation; and Collecting field data, performing basic system evaluations, or supporting site investigations for engineering documentation or design accuracy. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service: Independently performing complex technical tasks involving facility systems, infrastructure readiness, system performance analysis, or technical project execution; Developing or interpreting engineering drawings, models, specifications, or documentation with minimal oversight; and Conducting detailed field verification, system evaluations, or site investigations and recommending corrective or technical actions. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service: Serving as a technical authority or senior technician responsible for planning, leading, and executing advanced engineering or facility system tasks; Performing advanced evaluations of facility systems, diagnosing critical performance or configuration issues, and developing engineering solutions; and Providing authoritative input during design reviews, engineering assessments, or operational planning sessions.
