About the Position: As the Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC) Chief within the USSOUTHCOM J4 Logistics Operations Division, the incumbent provides authoritative advice on planning and executing comprehensive logistics programs-including equipment, supplies, medical, engineering, contracting, and personnel support-across the 31 nations and 16 territories of the Latin America and Caribbean Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes serving as a focal point for logistics operations and providing staff advice on higher-echelon policies and directives. This includes synchronizing Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt) efforts by monitoring deployment, distribution, and sustainment; evaluating logistical plans for feasibility and efficiency in support of exercises and contingencies such as Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR); and mitigating logistics risks within the area of responsibility. This also includes directing and overseeing the formulation of program goals and work plans, setting priorities for a logistics branch, and advising staff to ensure the effective utilization of their experience and training.
