Job Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (T32), Position Description Number D1257000 and is part of the RI Combined Support Maintenance Shop. The purpose of this position is to provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management.
Job Description
MILITARY GRADES: E5 - CW3 You must indicate your rank somewhere on your resume. MILITARY COMPATIBITY REQUIREMENT: For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more classes of equipment. The experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology. A basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment. Experience must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publications. Knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, education, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education, or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying commonly used equipment, facility, or service principles and concepts. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience which provided knowledge of maintenance programs and techniques. Knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience developing, installing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques.
