Job Description
                AREA OF CONSIDERATION: HRO MUST process and clear the Department of Defense (DoD), Priority Placement Program (PPP), prior to advertising all internal and external job vacancies and promotion announcements. AREA 1 = All permanent Technician Warrant Officers and Enlisted employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard. AREA 2 = All indefinite Technician Warrant Officers and Enlisted employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard. AREA 3 = Warrant Officers and Enlisted currently serving members of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard. First round consideration will be given to Area 1 Candidates. (All other Areas will be screened only in the event that there are no qualified or recommended Candidates). To prevent a grade inversion, military rank allowed for this position will be determined at the final evaluation of the vacancy announcement considering the military rank of the supervisor. Acceptance of any military technician position may cause the termination of entitlements and eligibility for all military bonuses and student loan repayments. DUTIES: As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (D1904000),GS-2005-7, you will ensure property accountability and provide installation supply assistance and instruction to units and activities within the state. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is performed in an office environment generally sedentary. May be required to do lifting of 40 pounds or less if asked to be on a Physical Inventory Team. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: General duties are performed in an office environment. May work in conjunction with operations that use material handling equipment of in an area shipping and receiving property. Use of protective clothing or equipment may be required if handling solvents or working in a high noise level environment. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year at the next lower-level grade GS-06 or the equivalent TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as applying the principles and practices of supply management, material storage, inventory, and excess property management; evaluating complex supply transactions; maintaining and accounting for federal assets; analyzing possible redistribution of equipment; performing equipment on hand analysis; resolving inventory problems and reviewing, validating and establishing accountability; Working with units assigned in dealing with distribution and redistribution of Equipment and Assets; Initiating and recommending unit visits for performance of reconciliations and providing expertise, recommendations and training.
