APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Deputy Chief of Staff G3 AOC 2: NG employees in the Deputy Chief of Staff G3 AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) Military Grades: OFFICER O1-O3 WARRANT OFFICER WO1-CW5 ENLISTED E1-E9 Supervisor for this position is MAJ Wright *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 24 months experience that demonstrated the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (Competencies/KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. Knowledge of Army or Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory. Knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units for these systems. Experiences in conducting and developing education and training programs. Experienced in conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs. Knowledge in the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Merit Promotion and Placement Plan (MPP) if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position, by category, a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Chapter 4 of the MPP.
