Job Summary

This position is located in the Nuclear Exercise & Evaluation Division (NE-NSE) and will serve as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical Exchange Coordinator for the US European Command (USEUCOM) area of responsibility (AOR). The incumbent provides expert EOD support knowledge to Combatant Commanders and Services and other government agencies in EOD technical exchange planning, evaluation, testing, studies and crisis support for US nuclear weapons emergency response.

Job Description

To qualify for an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical Specialist, GS-0301-13 position your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the (GS-13) grade level, specialized experience must be at the (GS-12) grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: 1. Experience designing, coordinating, and executing large-scale, multinational emergency preparedness exercises or technical training exchanges involving diverse interagency and international partners. 2. Negotiating, formulating, and analyzing bilateral agreements, international agreements, or Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) between United States federal agencies and foreign government entities. 3. Conducting explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), hazardous devices mitigation, or specialized technical operations, to include emergency response to radiological materials or high-consequence hazards. 4. Orchestrating and managing comprehensive emergency response plans and multi-agency preparedness exercises (such as tabletop, command post, or full-scale field exercises) for high-consequence hazardous incidents.
