Job Summary

This position is located in the Office of Legislative, Intergovernmental and Public Affairs (OLIPA) is the primary liaison with Congress and the Office of Management and Budget, other Federal criminal justice agencies, and the District of Columbia government. It is also the primary point of contact for media inquiries. OLIPA also develops and implements community outreach to facilitate the successful administration of CSOSA programs.

Job Description

You may qualify at the GS-13 level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: You must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service. Demonstrated specialized experience for this type of position includes e is defined as: supervising or leading staff in workforce development, vocational training, or reentry programs; managing vocational or training operations, including scheduling and quality assurance; overseeing curricula, instructional delivery, and skills-based programming aligned with industry standards; applying data driven methods to evaluate program performance and implement improvements; managing complex projects with competing priorities and inter-agency coordination; building partnerships with employers, community agencies, and training providers; preparing reports, program assessments, and policy or procedural recommendations. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
