A qualified candidate must possess the following: Meet state/local age (21) requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Skill and Knowledge: Skill in mixing drinks using alcoholic beverages, beer and soda. Applies arithmetic in calculating bills and making change. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons. Responsibility: Receives specific instructions for new or unusual assignment. Routine work is performed without close supervision. It is recommended the above skills be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Best Qualified Criteria: Six (6) months experience working as a bartender in a bar or fast paced restaurant setting. **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
