Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Three (3) months of laboring experience required. 2. Must have the ability to use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervision of each task assigned. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess six (6) months of work experience performing routine maintenance on hand tools and lawn equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. OR Possess six (6) months of working experience as a laborer or similar work experience. **Applicants who meet both the minimum qualifications and one of the best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first. To be evaluated as a best qualified candidate, your resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the best qualified criteria above.** Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE: The ability to perform simple manual tasks, and knowledge of cleaning, grounds maintenance, and lifting procedures. Skill and knowledge to safely operate and perform routine maintenance on hand tools and equipment (rake, pitch folk, wheelbarrow, hand-pump sprayer, hand truck, shovel, push lawn mower, hammer, screwdriver, wrench, pliers). Ability to understand common signs and read general instructions.
