Job Description

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: One year of work experience that equipped the applicant with practical knowledge of library or related information services, tools, and methods and procedures. Experience must have been gained at the next lower level. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Demonstrated proficiency in creating, planning, and presenting story times and outreach events that best reflect the community demographics and cultural diversity. Ability of public speaking to large groups. Demonstrated knowledge of computer automated system techniques and computer competencies. Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Library System for circulating and processing items. In order to be considered for the highly preferred criteria, your resume must show that you meet BOTH the minimum qualifications and ALL of the highly preferred criteria. Applicants meeting ALL criteria will be considered the best qualified and will be referred to the selecting official first.
