Job Description

Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. Experience receiving, storing, transferring, and distributing bulk petroleum products and provides oversight to lower-graded employees. Validates documentation and fuel received from incoming shipments for proper identification of fuel and examines cargo for proper seals, safety regulations, and environment control systems. Connects grounding wire and hoses and activates pumps, valves, and gages during pumping operation. Experience taking temperature reading, determine American Petroleum Institute (API) gravity, and converts volumes of fuel at standard temperature. Ensuring gage, scale, and/or meter readings, amounts of fuel received and issued, and fuel invoices are kept on file.
