Job Summary

This position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, PD#D1143000, part of the Nevada Army National Guard. This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Operations Directorate, Army National Guard Training Center or Army Air Field. The primary purpose of this position is to operate and maintain a fuel distribution system composed of bulk storage, hydrant-refueling system, or a tanker truck operation used to perform ground refueling of aviation aircraft.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training providing knowledge of the equipment (e.g., tanks, manifolds, valves, filter/separators, pumps, etc.) and procedures for constructing bladder tank farms sufficient to provide technical guidance to and inspect the work of others; knowledge of fuels, fuel distribution, regulations, and procedures, and the operation of fuel distribution systems sufficient to perform a variety of functions associated with the operation of a system, including general maintenance; ability to apply knowledge of more complex steps and processes to convert fuel measurements from volume received at tank temperature to the equivalent volume at the standard temperature set by the American Petroleum Institute.
