Job Summary
This position is for a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST, PD# D0964000, part of the Nevada Army National Guard. This position is located in the Environmental Management Branch of the State Army National Guard (ARNG) Headquarters. Serves as the State ARNG Environmental Program Manager with responsibility for supervising and managing the state environmental program in conformance with Federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have progressively responsible clerical experience or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade that provided experience, education or training demonstrating the knowledge of the principles, practices, and concepts of an environmental program sufficient to serve as the expert technical advisor on the various environmental programs. Experience demonstrating knowledge of environmental issues, problems and solutions regarding federal, state, rural and community environmental regulations. Experience in program planning or administration concerned with environmental protection or other activities related to environmental problems. Experience in an advisory or research capacity involving the creation of solutions to problems concerning environmental protection or other related activities. Experience using on-site investigation techniques, analysis of results and development of conclusions to insure conformance to environmental regulations. SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Must have experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
