Job Summary

This position is assigned to the Liberty/Fleet Recreation Centers, Community Recreation Division, Morale Welfare and Recreation Department. The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Liberty Manager with planning recreation activities and conducting daily operations of the Recreation Centers. The Liberty Program's primary target audience is the E1-E6 single or unaccompanied service member population at NAS Sigonella.

Job Description

Six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience OR successful completion of 2 years of study above high school that included at least 12 semester hours in courses related to recreation. General Experience: any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position. Specialized Experience: experience at the next lower level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties described above and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. Qualified candidates will also be rated and ranked by the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) to determine order of referral: Knowledge of recreational techniques, equipment, rules and procedures. Knowledge of current electronic device technology. Knowledge of general office and cash handling procedures. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to compute charges, dispense change and prepare reports. Ability to assist in planning, developing and administering recreational activities. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to drive up to a 13-passenger van. Skill in the use of personal computers and of Microsoft Office Programs. Skill in basic troubleshooting of video game consoles, laptops, tablets, television, etc. Strong customer service skills.
