This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D1734P01, within the 177 AMX SQ of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Small Shop Chief (SSC) with the responsibility for the overall over all operations of a small shop. The incumbent performs the full range of non-supervisory work of the shop.

Job Description

General Experience: Must have the following experience(s); Repairing malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components Using sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings Using test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks Specialized Experience: Must have 18 months of the following experience(s); Planning and laying out repair sequence to complete modification, repair and installation of ordnance systems Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions Using hand tools and a limited number of measuring equipment Using a variety of test equipment Interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications
