Job Summary

This job opportunity is for an CONTRACT SPECIALIST, position description D2623000, within the 108th MSG of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to provide sound business advice in the planning and execution of pre-award and post-award functions, using a wide range of common contracting methods and contract types. NOTE: Must acquire SAT warrant within 1 year of hire.

Job Description

General Experience: All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 12 months of broadening contracting experience equivalent to at least GS-1102-11 level that provided full competencies of contracting principles and procedures that included the following activities: Developing and Negotiating positions, Advanced Cost/Price Analysis, Contract Termination, and Procurement Policies. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Certification Appointment as a GS-1102-12 is dependent on level 2 completion and supervisor concurrence. NOTE: Must acquire SAT warrant within 1 year of hire.
