The NIH Clinical Center Pharmacy is seeking an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated Pharmacist for its Outpatient Section. The incumbent of this position will serve as a Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Operations Section supporting hospital pharmacy services.

You qualify at the GS-12 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. OR Applicants who have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy may also qualify contingent upon an additional review of your qualifications. Licensure: You must also have an active, current license as a pharmacist in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Additional Qualification: In Addition to the above, in order to meet the Minimum Qualifications for a Pharmacist, GS-660 position at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing outpatient pharmacy dispensing services; preparing sterile/non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous products; identifying and preventing adverse drug reactions and interactions; ensuring correct labeling, handling and storage of pharmaceutical products; advising physicians on medication selection, dosing and administration; ensuring research protocol compliance with investigational drugs; providing oversight and training of technical support staff and managing the distribution of controlled medications.
