Job Description
APPLICANTS CAN POSSESS EITHER SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE OR DEGREE AS STATED BELOW TO QUALIFY. SUBMISSION OF TRANSCRIPTS IS REQUIRED IF QUALIFYING BASED ON EDCUCATION. Basic Requirements: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Specialized Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Planning, coordinating and implementing automation projects, including estimating material and labor cost, for HVAC, lighting, security and other systems, for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations. Conducting surveillance and analysis activities over different building systems, evaluate performance, develop and implement control procedures to improve energy efficiency, environment comfort and system functionality. Managing building automation systems, supervising installation, operations and maintenance of components and software. Analyze system performance and implement necessary adjustments to improve functionality. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
