Job Description

You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience includes 1) developing and maintaining calendars; 2) acting as an administrative point of contact and providing advice to organization personnel on administrative policies; 3) preparing standardized documents; 4) maintaining paper and electronic file/record management; 5) processing domestic and international travel; and 6) supporting attendance and timecard management. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
