Job Summary

This position is in the Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS), a subagency of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The incumbent serves as a Regional Outreach Specialist corresponding to the VETS Regional Offices. This position is inside the bargaining unit.

Job Description

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Management and Program Analyst (Regional Outreach Specialist), as described below. For the GS-13: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-13 includes at least three of the following: Experience recommending strategies for outreach, communications, public education, and engagement. Experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of outreach programs and services. Ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to expand employment opportunities for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses. Experience presenting organizational positions to external stakeholders.
