Job Description

Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 in the Federal Service. Applicants must meet 3 out of the 4 examples of specialized experience below. Qualifying specialized experience includes: Experience planning and coordinating administrative and business management activities in the areas of financial management, facilities management, human resources management and procurement. Experience managing budget formulation, execution, and administration; preparing reports, administrative policy statements and procurement cost analysis; advising and informing management and employees of human resources rules, policies, regulations, and procedures. Experience using automated systems to perform various administrative functions such as procurement, travel management, financial management, etc. and human resources functions such as requests for personnel actions and time and attendance. Experience providing support to program managers/directors with special projects or initiatives.
