Job Description
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in planning and conducting investigations relating to alleged or suspected criminal violations of Federal laws; with emphasis on contract fraud and program fraud; highly proficient in critically analyzing financial crimes; recognizing, developing, and presenting evidence to reconstruct events; sequences, time elements, relationships, responsibilities, legal liabilities, and conflicts of interest; devising new investigative approaches, techniques and policies; preparing written documentation such as reports, describing evidence, recording facts about persons, objects and events; communicating instructions verbally, presenting case facts and recommendations, conducting interviews and interrogations; assisting other criminal investigators, management, and US Attorneys under the guidance of a senior level in investigator. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
