This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 SECURITY SPECIALIST (MI G2), Position Description Number NGD1276000 and is part of the MI JFHQ Army, Michigan Army National Guard. MICHIGAN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Job Description

Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience. NOTE: All job seekers will be required to limit their resumes to 2 pages in length when applying for job opportunity announcements (JOAs) MILITARY GRADE: E5-O2 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position to ensure to avoid grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently at a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administratively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmation of the reduction to HRO. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Have knowledge in the established Department of Defense (DoD) and ARNG security programs. The applicant must have knowledge of Army security concepts, principles, and practices required to review, independently analyze, and resolve complex security issues that involve personnel from various functional program managers. The applicant must have knowledge of authority and Use of Force legal issues regarding conflicting local, state and federal security laws. Can use skills to control or eliminate issues; proven techniques may be adapted to eliminate or minimize high-risk situations.
