Job Summary
This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for:Assisting in the development of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) directives, guidance, and procedures within MDA.
Job Description
You may qualify at the NH 03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Experience with security Assistance policies, regulations, and procedures required to effectively manage Foreign Military Sales programs; to develop the need for new approaches, new program emphasis, and to provide expert technical advisory services. -Understanding of the legislative principles governing Security Assistance which include the Arms Export Control Act and Foreign Assistance Act to comply with aspects of international security assistance programs. Experience with oral and written communicative skills to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all levels to include civilian, military, local representatives, and foreign nationals to give and exchange information relative to the international programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
