Job Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: First level supervisor who serves as the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator acting as the primary point of contact for sexual assault and sexual harassment matters. Reports to the Supervisory SARC and provides first-level supervision to civilian Victim Advocate.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Psychology, Counseling, Social work, or Human services. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing professional advocacy and crisis intervention services for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault; and (2) managing sexual harassment/sexual assault cases from initial report through disposition and resolution to ensure regulatory compliance and the health and well-being of victims; and (3) maintaining case documentation and data quality in official reporting systems to ensure coordinated care and compliance; and (4) assisting in training and outreach activities to promote awareness, prevention, and understanding of reporting procedures. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). GS-12 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
