About the Position: Serves as a Brigade Plans Chief under the general direction of the Deputy S3 for Operations. Responsible for directing and overseeing contingency plans for strategic deployment, redeployment, Reception, Staging and Onward movement (RSO) of US Forces to include General Cargo, Foreign Military Sales and Class V Ammunition shipments throughout their AOR.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Directing and overseeing end-to-end contingency planning for the strategic deployment, redeployment, and Reception, Staging, and Onward Movement (RSO/RSOI) of military forces and diverse cargo types, including general cargo, foreign military sales, and Class V ammunition/hazardous materials.; 2) Coordinating seaport and ocean terminal operations by applying transportation planning concepts, policies, and procedures governing Military Ocean Terminals (MOTs) and commercial seaports, analyzing workload requirements, and assessing port infrastructure to support heavy force integration.; 3) Evaluating, and analyzing Area of Responsibility (AOR) Operation Plans (OPLANs) using advanced military planning systems, integrating Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) and utilizing the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES).; and 4) Supervising or leading a team by assigning work aligned to mission priorities, evaluating performance, managing employee development, establishing effective internal controls, and resolving personnel issues to maintain a productive and compliant workforce. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Deployment Planning Information Management Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
