Job Summary

About the Position: Incumbent serves as Supervisory Traffic Management Specialist in the Domestic Operations Branch, Movement Operations Division. Incumbent has nationwide responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of transportation and freight movements associated with the use of commercial and Defense Freight Railway Interchange Fleet railcars. Position requires in-depth understanding of traffic management principles via all modes of transportation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Managing traffic management functions with regard to domestic rail freight movement services; and 2) Leading traffic management team functions supporting transportation programs via all modes of transportation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
