Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience: 1) Performs duties as Technical Engineer and Military Free Fall Instructor. 2) Provides guidance to contractors concerning production design and data requirements and conducts design studies, prepares technical data and performs quality control reviews of engineering drawings for assigned projects.3) Serves as a military (or civilian equivalent) freefall instructor demonstrating the necessary skills required to safely train students with zero freefall parachuting experience up to a level that allows them to graduate from an approved military freefall course of instruction. 4) Act as a cameraman during freefall jumps capturing both high speed video and still photography of high quality used to critique the parachutist being filmed. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
