This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic DIB & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Dir of Supply & Transportation, performing freight shipment and transportation support functions. Arranging for the most economical shipment of freight and processes associated documents associated with the movement of materials.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 grade level which includes applying established transportation regulations, standing route orders, tariffs, or track domestic and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cargo via multi-modal transportation; verifying hazardous material shipments for regulatory compliance, including reviewing packaging, marking, labeling, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), or preparing dangerous goods documentation and performing post-audits or verification of transportation billing/charges; comparing shipping rates to determine cost-effective carriers.
