Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Munitions Inspector (Forklift Operator) without more than normal supervision. Ability to do the work of a Munitions Handler (Forklift Operator) without more than normal supervision. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe the work experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Experience is defined as: 1) Independently conduct multiple types of visual inspections for ammunition storage facilities of unexpended/expended ammunition items; 2) Identify malfunctioning ammunition; 3) Issue/Turn-in ammunition by lot/serial numbers; and 4) Update records and report deficiencies. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Physical Effort: Involves continuous physical activity such as standing, stooping, and bending. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 70 pounds, and occasionally may handle items weighing over 70 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed inside and outside. Wearing of protective clothing such as gloves and safety shoes is required, and wearing of other protective clothing may be required. Duties are performed in defined areas where use of matches, lighters, and smoking is prohibited due to close proximity of hazardous ammunition and explosives.
