Or Specialized Experience: Other Applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with tasks such as cost estimating, cost breakdown, or working with contractors/suppliers on project completion; and writing, administering, or enforcing contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). Time in Grade Requirement: In-Service Applicants: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Other Applicants: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
