This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as an Architect (Historic) and engages in planning and/ or designing substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.

Basic Education Requirement for Engineers: OPM's Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) is defined as: All Professional Engineering Positions 0800 In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience required: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in architectural designing; facilities planning and construction concepts; assuring compliance with objective standards and requirements; and, establishing architectural project requirements and priorities in developing strategies to create short or long-term goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service or equivalent (GS-11).
