Job Summary
The Departmental Ethics Office (DEO) administers the Department of Justice's ethics program for the Assistant Attorney General for Administration who service as the Department's Designated Agency Ethics Official. Responsibilities provided by DEO staff member may include advice and guidance to Department leadership, career employees, and managers on the interpretation and application of the ethics rules and Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch.
Job Description
Required Qualifications: J.D. degree Active member of a bar in good standing, any U.S. jurisdiction or the District of Columbia At least four years of post J.D. experience (or equivalent) experience in a Federal executive branch ethics office responsible for an agency or component ethics program; at least three of which were equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or higher. While job duties need not have been exclusively related to ethics, at least 50% of work time must have been dedicated to applicable Federal executive branch ethics experience.
