Job Summary
This position serves as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Service Delivery Staff, Law Enforcement Services Directorate in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is to support the administration, modernization, security, and continuous improvement of DOJ-OCIO biometric capabilities and national crime information systems, including JABS, CAS, JBIS, and the Disposition Reporting Service (DRS).
Job Description
To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), at GS-2210-12/13, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-12 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Assist with the administration, maintenance or development of national-level biometric capabilities or law enforcement information systems or programs. Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Provides support for the administration, maintenance or development of national-level biometric capabilities or law enforcement information systems or programs. Provides technical guidance and oversight to contractors, managing service level agreements, or driving customer engagement with federal, tribal, state, or local criminal justice entities.
