This position serves as a IT Project Manager (APPSW/INFOSEC), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, the Service Delivery Staff, Application and Platform Services Directorate, Application Services Branch in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for consulting to component leadership on critically important learning initiatives necessary for the component to meet its mission within the Department.
Job Description
To qualify for the position of IT Project Manager (APPSW/INFOSEC), at GS-2210-11, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Utilizes enterprise software tools to plan, track and/or manage project activities supporting IT initiatives. OR PhD., or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related, or some specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and have more than two years but less than three years of education as described above. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
