You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Handler ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform some tasks including in Materials Handler task. I can properly install, service, repair, and configure modern modular office furniture. I can operate heavy duty delivery trucks and/or operate forklifts to load and unload equipment. I am skilled in warehousing procedures. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort: Requires standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally in excess of 75 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is done primarily inside of general office and patient care areas and in a warehouse atmosphere for all stockpiled essentials; however some external delivery via a truck or forklift is occasionally required to support the ongoing mission. Work areas inside are normally well lit and at normal room temperature for furniture support. Exposed to normal warehouse noise and possible falls, cuts, scrapes, and bruises. The above working conditions have been considered in the evaluation of the job and do not meet the criteria for compensation by environmental differential pay.
