Job Summary

About the Position: Positions will be located at the San Antonio, Texas office. Health System Specialists provide support within Defense Health Agency by analyzing, evaluating, advising, and/or coordinating health delivery systems and operations. These positions require specialized knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to the management of health care delivery systems. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation through the Direct Hire for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) interpreting policies to develop standardized procedures across medical facilities; 2) analyzing healthcare delivery issues to identify trends or patterns; AND 3) recommending optimization or operational improvements based on healthcare trends or forecasts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
