About the Position: Incumbent serve as a behavioral health case manager and maintains responsibility for program management and implementation of the Defense Health Agency System of Care, Behavioral Health Caring Communication / Case Management Prog operations. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune NC. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Basic Requirement for Behavioral Health Case Manager: Education: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position, such as healthcare administration, nursing, social work, psychology, etc. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes collaborating with healthcare professionals, communicating with patients, and researching healthcare resources/programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
