Basic Qualifications for Health Technician (Chiropractic): Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining patient records; performing administrative duties, such as generating reports and ordering supplies; and assisting with medical treatment and procedures as directed by treating medical provider. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). (Note: Your resume must support this experience) OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy, Medical Ethics, Healthcare Administration, Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical Assisting, Medical Records, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Exercise Science. (Note: You must provide a copy of your transcripts with your application) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60.
