About the Position: Serves as Health Technician at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia who provides support to management by preparation of enteral nutrition for infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and pediatric wards and also assist in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of medical nutrition therapy for all patients. GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Provides nutrition counseling/education; Prepares infant feedings needs (ie, formula, May come in contact with bodily fluids - breast milk / donor's milk); Performs nutrition screenings for inpatients throughout the treatment period; Records information into automated system(s). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
