Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the Experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. WG-07 Minimum Qualifications: Ability to do the work of a(n) Motor Vehicle Operator ~ without more than normal supervision. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. I have the ability to perform normal duties such as: Driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations and loading and unloading of passengers; Completes vehicle utilization records and driver's accident report when necessary; Works under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress; Reviews completion to make sure they are properly performed. Physical Effort: Drivers at this grade level exert physical efforts in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls in operating, turning, backing, and controlling vehicles which carry heavier loads or larger numbers of people than vehicles at the grade 6 level. Also assist medical personnel with the loading and unloading of patients as necessary. They exert moderate physical effort with frequent handling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and the occasional handling of heavier objects while loading cargo with the assistance of other workers or weight handling equipment. Working Conditions: Drivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a government installation or city and federal highways. Drivers are exposed to dirt and fumes, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading the vehicle.
