THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is for an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, Position Description Number D1444000 located in 116th Maintenance Squadron, Robins AFB, GA. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Air National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Current on-board members of the Georgia Air National Guard.

Military Grades: E8-E9 Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC: 2A9X4, 2A7X3 General Experience: Must possess experience which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. Specialized Experience: Candidate must have 36 months specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work involves climbing, stooping, standing, bending, stretching and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Requires moderate to strenuous physical exertion. Lifts equipment and components weighing from 20 to 50 pounds, and may be required to lift items weighing up to 100pounds with assistance from other workers or materials handling equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside, in inclement weather, on icy, wet and slippery ramps, aircraft surfaces and work stands and in temperature extremes. Subject to the dangers from exposure to toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, fast actuating metal aircraft surfaces (landing gears, speed brakes, missile doors and flaps), engine noise, heat blast, intake suction, rotating propellers, explosive munitions, electrical voltage, cartridge actuating devices, liquid oxygen/nitrogen, fire or explosion of aircraft fuels, lubricants, paints and solvents.
